Completely Plug and Play
The kit consists of new, Catheadlights exclusive, CNC laser cut, mounts that bolt to the factory vacuum actuator position, no drilling required, complete with refurbished Ford or Mazda motors that have been refurbished, tapped and use button head bolts to secure them to the mount.
No failure prone motors, wiper motors from GMC Terrain or Chevrolet Equinox with no manual opening knobs, loud/slow linear actuators or expensive parts to ever replace, if ever needed.
The kit is assembled and ready to bolt in using GM style black fender bolts with washers and works with AC and NON-AC cars.
The mount does require a small notch to be cut, as shown in the pics, but the Catheadlights mount completely covers the notch and adds strength to the headlight system and makes the installation look factory.
The kit comes completely assembled.
Once you make the cut, bolt in the kit, attach and easily adjust the CUSTOM made aluminum arms (can adjusted in and out when bolted in) and the springs, you are ready to plug in the motors.
This is the fastest, easiest kit to install on the market.
A new wiring harness made
exclusively for CATHEADLIGHTS, is included.
No cutting of your original harness. Plug in the harness, run a power feed, plug in your motor(s) and you're done.
OR connect a wire to your parking lights for a special “maintenance function” , turn on your headlights, the doors open, push the headlight knob back in to driving lights, the headlights go off but doors stay open for maintenance.

Wiring harness supply power, ground, open and close signals to motors.
Wiring harness addresses the 'blink' issue when dimmer switch is activated, no need to run additional wiring from interior to prevent motor cycling. Any other "plug in to the headlight" wiring harness could cause an unsafe "blinking" action (headlight doors will open and close )when the headlight dimmer is activated. “Cheap” headlight switch, headlight relay harness, doesn’t matter, our wiring harness is not effected by this.

We also have a simple relay style wiring harness kit listed in another auction, the harness is a simple three wire connection.
We recommend that kit with wiring harness for floor mounted dimmer switch Vettes only(68-76), because of the difficulty to connect the trigger wire on column mounted dimmer switch Vettes(77-82).
Using the dimmer switch ensures a factory style opening appearance. The cost is LESS.
